this poem got poem of tha month in June of 2005....on another site....so now yall see how my moms affected me....real talk

I picked up the phone to call u
As i dailed ur # I had to stop
Reality set in like a muhf@cka
An' the tears began to drop
Been a minute since i last talked to u
An' still ur my best friend
Always kept it real when i'm concerned
U had my back until the end
I still see u in the kitchen
Cookin and givin' me advice
An' u'd give it to me very bluntly
Than kindly ask me to check the rice
We had mad fun 2gether
U wuz at all my volleyball games
An' when i played in college
U wuz in the stands screamin my name
I told u the second i lost my virginity
Not knowing if I should
But u looked at me an' said,
"Well baby, wuz it good?"
U loved me unconditionally
Regardless if i was good or bad
If i was good...then shyt wuz good
If not....u'd get muhf@ckin' mad
But now i need to talk to u
S i close my eyes an' start to speak
An' pray my words r long enuff
Cuz u linger far beyond my reach
My life isn't going so good
I'm stuck in somewhat of a spot
I think i'm movin' forward
But in reality i'm not
I admit I did'nt help any
I made some terrible mistakes
But i've always been honest an' true to myself
An' i always give more than I take
So i'm askin' u to guide me
Help me get over this hump in tha road
Help me make it through this thing called life
Please help me lighten the load
Dayum yall its killin' me ta write this
Tha tears from my eyes are flowin'
Cuz when I open my eyes u won't be there
Something i wuz already knowin'
Then I realize i'll be aaight
Cuz i see ya everyday
In ur 4 grandchilden that i gave u
That.....will never go away
I've never met any woman
That held it down the way u did
An' i'm gonna hold it down too
I gots to...... i'm ya kid
There's nuthin' more I can say
Except THANK YOU for bein' the realest bytch i've ever known
I'm eternally grateful to be part of u
One love, moms....see u when i get home
